Bobby Bones shared that he is not booking either Presidential candidate on The Bobby Bones Show.
The show spends so much time avoiding division and having either candidate on would lead to that. Even if they just played silly, fun games with them, someone would get upset because they don’t like them and in return stop liking the show. He had been approached about the possibility of having both candidates on, but he chose not to do it because the show makes it a priority that everyone feels included. It was a hard decision for Bones to make because it would’ve caused massive ratings and streaming numbers for the show which is good for business. But he is not going to do it because he’s committed to making listeners feel safe with the content on the show. He is not going to bring something on to divide people on purpose and the show also tries to stay away from most political talk.
Bones wants his listeners to know that if they see a story that states he refused to put one of the Presidential candidates on, that he actually declined to have both of them on. He wants his listeners to know that their show is a safe space, and they aren’t pushing a political agenda. Also, a few months ago, a political group offered him money to endorse something on social media, but he declined because he’s not going to endorse anyone.
