Are Kelsea Ballerini's Poems Inspiring Her New Music?

If you are looking for a stocking stuffer this Christmas, Cody Alan and Kelsea Ballerini have the perfect gift!

Kelsea's new book of poetry, 'Feel Your Way Through,' and Cody's memoir, 'Hear's The Thing' are both available now everywhere books are sold. Although both stars cover very different topics, both books offer insight and encouragement for anything you are going through this season.

In a recent interview with Cody, Kelsea reveals that she is even finding inspiration for herself within her published poetry. Could her book be a preview of new music that is on the way?

"I didn't really know that I was writing a book, to be honest," chuckles Kelsea. "I put out my album on March 20th, the week that the world shut down. So, music kind of became a sore spot for me for a minute."

"I didn't know how to feel about it, but I certainly still needed to process life and everything that was happening in the world around me," says the country star. So, Kelsea put pen to paper.

"We all had to slow down, and when you slow down, you are left with your thoughts, and that is freaking terrifying," says the "Hole In The Bottle" singer.

"I am just now working on the next project," previews Kelsea. "But, there's already been a couple of poems that have inspired songs! I am like, "Man, two birds, one stone. I have already written it! Might as well put some music to it." So, I am excited to see how many shape up into the next album."

Kelsea wouldn't share when she plans to release the new tracks inspired by her poetry. However, we can be inspired by her new hair color. See the pic below.
