Cole Swindell debuted a new ballad on Friday (January 31), which his wife already deems “one of my favorites.”

Swindell teased “Kill A Prayer” on social media earlier this month. He posted a sneak peek on social media, and nodded to the song’s lyrics with the caption: “She was more tent revival.. I was more chasing my jukebox idols.”

“Kill A Prayer” follows a few previously-released singles from Swindell, including “One Day,” “3 Feet Tall” and “Forever To Me,” which served as the singer’s heartfelt wedding song when he married wife Courtney Little Swindell in June 2024 in Sonoma County, California. The newlyweds followed the intimate ceremony with a surprise celebration in Nashville, Tennessee. Swindell’s most recent full length album is Stereotype and its deluxe edition, Stereotype Broken. That album includes “Drinkaby,” “Never Say Never” with Lainey Wilson, “Single Saturday Night” and more, plus his award-winning, Jo Dee Messina-inspired single, “She Had Me At Heads Carolina.”

Swindell is known for those songs, plus “You Should Be Here,” “Chillin’ It,” “Ain’t Worth the Whiskey,” “Flatliner” with Dierks Bentley, “Let Me See Ya Girl,” “Middle of a Memory,” “Hope You Get Lonely Tonight” and more throughout his career.

Swindell recently joined the star-studded lineup of the 2025 iHeartCountry Festival, which is slated to take place on Saturday, May 3. The festival, hosted by iHeartRadio’s Bobby Bones, will return to Moody Center in Austin, Texas. Other artists in the lineup include Brooks & Dunn, Thomas Rhett, Rascal Flatts, Sam Hunt, Megan Moroney, Bailey Zimmerman and Nate Smith.

Hulu will be the Official Streaming Destination of the festival, with performances livestreamed exclusively to all Hulu subscribers at no additional cost. Additional information about the livestream will be posted across Hulu’s platform and social media channels. Fans can tune in to the 2025 iHeartCountry Festival to catch all of the action live on May 3 at 8pm ET/5pm PT (7pm CT) across iHeartCountry stations nationwide and on the free iHeartRadio app via iHeartRadio's iHeartCountry station.
