Carrie Underwood Details Injury: 'One Step Messed Everything Up'

Carrie Underwood is opening up about the fall that left her with a broken wrist and injured face.

In a new radio interview, the “Cry Pretty” singer tells the ill-fated story that began with “taking the dogs out to go pee-pee one last time.”

“I tripped,” Carrie says. “There was one step. I didn’t let go of the leashes…so that’s why my left hand’s fine. I went to catch myself and I just missed a step. If I had fallen anywhere else, I would have been perfectly fine, but it was one step that messed everything up.”

Carrie now explains she’s “been very fortunate in the healing process” and doesn’t mind discussing it.
