Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild shared her thoughts after contestants on The Road took the stage in a recent episode of the competition show.

Country superstar Blake Shelton teamed up with Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan to executive produce The Road, a singing competition show that focuses on live performances as contestants open for Keith Urban on tour. “Here for the Party” hitmaker Gretchen Wilson serves as the tour manager. Fairchild — who performs in Little Big Town with bandmates Kimberly Schlapman, Phillip Sweet and Jimi Westbrook — is one of the celebrity guests this season. Others include Dustin Lynch, Jordan Davis and Brothers Osborne.

Singer-songwriter Billie Jo Jones, 34, from Emory, Texas, delivered “one of her favorite covers” on the show. she took the stage with “Gunpowder & Lead,” an iconic anthem from Miranda Lambert’s 2007 record, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. Urban, Wilson and Fairchild watched intently and applauded Jones’ performance in a clip shared on Instagram on Tuesday (December 9). Fairchild said, “Billie Jo seemed seasoned and relaxed, and yet, had that urgency about her that she needed to get after it and hustle.”

The up-and-coming artists competing on The Road advance by winning over live audiences on the tour. Wilson previously confirmed that the winner receives a recording contract and “a quarter of a million dollars.” Here’s the full list of contestants on the show’s first season:
