Dark Web & Chill: Teenage Hackers Take On DC In Political Thriller Podcast

The Daughters of DC podcast is a scripted political teen thriller about teenage hacker Jaymes Parker, the daughter of the Speaker of the House. She and her friends from her elite Washington DC prep school have been sharing their deepest secrets on the Daughters of DC app. But when they get hacked, they find themselves thrust into the middle of a global conspiracy that threatens to expose DC’s most influential families. In this episode, Jaymes has to face the consequences of her first successful hack; her best friends plan a heist; Speaker Parker is worried about who will fill an open Supreme Court seat; and Jaymes tracks down the powerful and mysterious hacker, Locksmith.

Jaymes hacked into her school’s administration records to get dirt on her friend Peyton’s ex-boyfriend, Tanner, who may have covered up an assault allegation. But Jaymes was caught; however, her mother, Speaker Parker, ruthlessly negotiates a three-day suspension instead of expulsion. Out of earshot of the headmaster, she scolds Jaymes for hacking and stresses the importance of integrity before her phone rings, and she discovers that a Supreme Court seat might go to a judge named Crawford Reed. “He’s not a judge! He’s an executioner!” she says. “We need to go nuclear on this guy. Now.”

Jaymes’s friends Celia, Natalie, Cole, and Peyton all try to get Jaymes’s suspension reversed, but to no avail. Jaymes tells them she did find an incident report in Tanner’s file, but that it was corrupted when she tried to download it, so no one can read it. Celia and Natalie decide to break into the headmaster’s office that night and look at the hard copy. While Jaymes is helping with the break-in, she’s contacted by the mysterious hacker, Locksmith, who might know a little too much about her real identity. The heist only leads to more questions, hidden passageways, and a desperate escape. And Crawford Reed might just be as bad as Jaymes’s mother thinks he is. Get drawn into a political thriller of epic proportions on Daughters of DC.
