Four Members Of Utah Family Killed In Shooting, Juvenile Boy Arrested

A small town in Utah is reeling after a shooting on a quiet street left four people dead. Authorities in Grantsville, a suburb of Salt Lake City with a population of roughly 9,000, said they took a juvenile boy into custody in connection with the shooting.

"It's an unfortunate tragedy that has taken place here this evening," Grantsville Mayor Brent Marshall said. "And I'm sure it will take days or even longer to try and piece together what brought all of this on and why it happened if we ever get to know why it happened. It's upsetting. This is normally a very quiet neighborhood, and any time you have children involved in something, it becomes very emotional, very fast."

Officials have not released the identity of the suspect or the victims. They said that they were related, but have not determined a motive for the shooting.

A fifth person was injured and is recovering in the hospital in stable condition. Police believe that person showed up after the initial shooting.

The young boy was taken into custody at the hospital and is facing numerous charges, including aggravated homicide.
