Shooting In New Orleans Leaves 11 People Injured

Eleven people were injured during a shooting in New Orleans early Sunday (December 1) morning. Police received a call of shots fired around 3:20 a.m. and found multiple victims when they arrived at the scene.

Ten people were transported to a local hospital, and one person managed to check themselves into a nearby medical center. Two of the victims are in critical condition.

Nobody has been arrested, but authorities did detain a person near the scene. They did not provide any details about their identity or possible involvement in the shooting.

The shooting occurred on Canal Street, which sits on the edge of the French Quarter and is a short walk from Bourbon Street.
