United Nations Rejects U.S. Declaration On Jerusalem

The UN General Assembly is rejecting America's recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.  The vote was 128-9. A UN resolution declared U.S. recognition of Jerusalem "null and void." The resolution said the U.S. move poses a threat to peace and security.

Before the vote U.S. Ambassador Nikki Haley noted that the U.S. is the world's leading contributor to the UN. Haley said the U.S. will "remember this day." She also accused the UN of not respecting Israel.

Trump has also threatened to withhold American foreign aid to nations that vote to condemn the U.S. decision.
