Listen to Scotty Mcreery on iHeartRadio

As baseball season winds down, Scotty McCreery is throwing his support into the game.  The country star made his second stop on his Major League Baseball ballpark tour on Sunday with an appearance at PetCo Park in San Diego.  Prior to the Padres' game against the Colorado Rockies, the former "American Idol" winner gave the San Diego Hall of Champions a check to help fund the local RBI -- or Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities -- program.  He also sang "God Bless America" during the seventh inning stretch.

Scotty kicked off his six-ballpark run late last month in Tampa, Florida, where he tossed out the first pitch before the Rays took on the Seattle Mariners.  He also sang "Take Me Out To The Ballgame" at that game, and gave the Rays Baseball Foundation five-thousand-dollars for their RBI program.

McCreery's tour will continue this week with an appearance at Citizens Bank Park -- home of the Philadelphia Phillies -- on Thursday.  He'll also make stops at the homes of the Chicago White Sox, the Washington Nationals, and the Atlanta Braves before the month is over, and give away a total of 50-thousand-dollars.

Scotty McCreery's upcoming MLB tour stops:

September 12 - Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at the Phillies-San Diego Padres game
September 15 - U.S. Cellular Field in Chicago, Illinois, at the White Sox-Cleveland Indians game
September 22 - Nationals Park in Washington, DC, at the Nationals-Miami Marlins game
